Day 1 – week 2:  Ukulele!!!!

Well that was fun, and a bit challenging, too.  I’m going to learn stuff that I’ve either forgotten over the past 40 years (reading music) or haven’t taught myself yet (scales and finger picking).  Eve is going to condense 12 weeks of regular lessons into 5 days so we’re moving along quickly.  Unlike last week, though, I’m not frustrated (yet) because she’s providing progress at different levels for those who have different experience.  And that difference conveniently comes together in the form of harmony.  We sounded pretty good today – playing and singing.  I’m anxious to hear what we’ll sound like at the end of the week.  Oh, and we’re in probably the only air conditioned classroom in the school.  Steve is jealous.
