Christmas has come and gone; New Year’s has come and gone; return to work has come and gone; our first snow storms have come and gone – and I mean gone.

When we normally could have been out shovelling snow, driving through it, playing in it, or huddling inside to stay toasty warm, today – January 13th – we took a drive to Hamilton Beach where we joined walkers, joggers, families, lovers, dogs, skateboarders, rollerbladers, and beachcombers.  It was 14C for goodness sake!  And all we needed was a fleece and an anorak.

OK, so it was a cloudy day, and there wasn’t too much colour around, but winter offers up its own beauty.  And it was warm!!!

I know it’s not going to last.  I know we’ll get our fair share of cold and snowy nasty weather over the next couple of months.  But for today, it was SPRING and I loved it.
