Day 15: Beaune, France – Friday, June 22, 2012

This morning, Franck called and we made arrangements to see La Maison des Deux Cloches in Magny-les-Villers, the next village over.  It is a charming, older, less updated home on the second floor of a multiple home building.  You access the home from a lovely, shared courtyard, and all windows open onto the road with a charming view of the village church, some other homes, and some vineyards in the distance.  Although there are two bedrooms, you have to walk through one to get to the other – perfect for a family with young children (or older ones who might want to sneak out at night).  The outdoor private area is down the stairs and across the courtyard, very nice when you get there.

Later in the afternoon, we headed out in a slightly new direction to check out some villages and roads we haven’t experienced yet.  We stumbled across another canal and a feeder pond with ugly, yet friendly, fish.  Check out the dude who’s offering me a french fish kiss 🙂

We ended up back in Villar Fontaine, a little north of home, and ate another fabulous dinner at L’Auberge du Coteau.  This was our last meal out for this trip, and it didn’t disappoint.
